Qatar National Day (Arabic: اليوم الوطني لقطر) is the anniversary of the unification of Qatar in 1878. It is celebrated on 18 December each year across Qatar. The date was established for a national holiday on 21 June 2007 by a decree of the then Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
